Frank Thelen: Will he emigrate after the federal election?

Will the former “Die Höhle der Löwen” star Frank Thelen emigrate? He wants to make his decision dependent on the federal election.

The former “Die Höhle der Löwen” investor Frank Thelen (45) spoke about his plans to emigrate. In an interview with the journalist Gabor Steingart (59) he said: “I am rooted here, I love the Rhineland, Germany and Europe too.” If, however, a red-red-green government, i.e. a coalition of the SPD, the Left and the Greens, came about, “then I would think very carefully about whether I should emigrate”. The reason? “Because then it would just be too much for me. That would then no longer feel like my country,” said Thelen. “But I’ll think about that in peace.”

The general election is due on September 26th. Which parties will form a coalition is still in the stars. Frank Thelen also expressed criticism of the Chancellor candidates Armin Laschet (60) and Olaf Scholz (63) and Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock (40). “It’s sad when we no longer have visionaries or burning politicians,” said Thelen. “I don’t see that in this election campaign either. Who of these three is really passionate about his topic and you just notice that he wants to advance it? That is not the case with all three for me.”

Where does Frank Thelen want to emigrate to?

He wants to address the question of which country Frank Thelen would emigrate to scientifically: “I would put a team on it and do an analysis of all countries: How nice can you live there? What are the possibilities? I haven’t yet commissioned, I would simply do a study on it, “said the entrepreneur and investor.

From 2014 to 2020 Frank Thelen was one of the investors in the VOX founder show “Die Höhle der Löwen”. Since leaving, he has been concentrating more on his investments again. “I am very grateful to be able to spend a large part of my time building disruptive tech start-ups again,” he said in an interview with spot on news in June 2020.
