The accommodation proposal is developed in harmony with the environment, while the original residents subsist from crafts. It is possible to buy reed baskets and musical instruments such as the mimby-heta, which is used only by the women of the town.

The excursion is part of the “Guatambu” experience, which leads into the jungle through a calm path. In parallel, the “Cachí” crossing is offered, which makes it possible to come into greater contact with the communities.

This adventure owes its name to a fern with large leaves that grows in the swamps of the region. Tacuaras proliferate in the Reserve, with which instruments are made, and mbeuyás, to which antibiotic properties are attributed.

The aromatic flowers of the cañafistola, the yellow ones of the rosewood and the violet ones of the ambay are also appreciated. The fruits of the latter are among the favorites of birds, which disperse the seeds by taking them.

These fresh air experiences are multiplied in ecotourism alternatives, with opportunities for hiking, trekking, biking and sailing. In addition, it is possible to join different celebrations of the Guarani culture.

As an added value, the proximity to the Falls, which are located 15 km away, should be considered. La Selva also borders the city center, where a circuit of restaurants and the Puerto Iguazú Duty Free Shop are located.

This mall, which is only 3 km away, allows you to experience a pleasant transition between nature and a shopping trip. Its design proposes a game of complicity to its visitors, who there discover replicas of corners of the great cities of the world.

As for products, the duty-free store allows access to categories such as perfumery, electronics, clothing and groceries from leading international brands. In turn, the business area has a restaurant, bar and other recreation spaces.

A little further, just 4 km from the jungle body, a gastronomic circuit stands out with traditional stops such as “La Misión” and “De la Fonte Restaurante”. The latter is a fusion kitchen project between modernity and Italian and French culinary customs.

Some 200 m to the north is “Terrazas Restaurante”, which offers snacks, empanadas and its classic lemonade. On the other hand, “Excelso Coffee” is renowned for its delicious puddings and alfajores, as well as for the flavor of its espresso, ice cream and latte coffees.

The Three Borders Landmark is also located in the area, which is the point where Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil meet. In this place you can enjoy a presentation of “mapping” technology that projects a sequence of traditional dances from the region.

Finally, 2 km from Iryapú is Güirá Oga. It is a project that contributes to the rescue of wildlife. During the visit you can see monkeys, coatis, parrots and macaws. You can also participate in training focused on the missionary flora and fauna.
