“It always turns out differently than you think”
“I don’t rule out the possibility of having children again at some point, but right now I’m totally happy,” replied Hummels when asked whether the issue of having children still plays a role for her. She currently has her dog and boy and is realizing herself professionally. “But it always turns out differently than you think.”
In the talk, the 33-year-old also reveals that her son was happy about his move from daycare to kindergarten. “I have to say that he was already far too mature for daycare,” explains Hummels. Ludwig had “no longer felt like going there” and said to her: “Mom, I’m big and there are only small children.”
As a mom, Cathy Hummels is “consistent”
Hummels describes her style of upbringing as “not strict, but very consistent”. There are things that are important to her and that she insist on. Neither her son nor her dog Moon – Hummels describes both of them as her personal “source of strength” – does not want to let her nose dance around.
Cathy Hummels has been married to professional soccer player Mats Hummels (32) since 2015. Their son Ludwig was born in 2018.
