Old books, prints, maps, photographs, artist’s books and posters that have withstood the relentless passage of time will come together in this edition in which, like never before, the old book becomes a refuge.
“The love of books has existed since books existed. Accessing the information they contain, enjoying their literary qualities, their design, printing and illustrations, bindings, protecting them against the passage of time and their use, form a unit indissoluble that defines its lovers. In each Fair that affectus is encouraged by the possibility of finding titles, authors, editions and special copies, and of sharing those emotions among peers, whether they are bibliophiles, avid readers, researchers or antiquarian booksellers,” he said. Roberto Vega, president of the organizing entity.
This edition will bring together 19 booksellers and will take the figure of Martín Fierro as its theme, on the 150th anniversary of its first edition. To this end, an exhibition-tribute will be held that will feature extremely rare pieces of great historical and collectible value, belonging to the exhibiting booksellers and the Hernandian collection of the Bartolomé Ronco de Azul Cultural Complex, Province of Buenos Aires.
