“It is about experiencing how two artistic expressions that seem to be antagonistic have very common roots, which are collective, community practices; the possibility of telling reality, stories of ordinary people”, told Télam Jimena Sivila Soza, who is part of the organization of the meeting along with other artists and cultural workers in the province.
He added that he is betting on reflecting on the fact that “grouping is the way to continue transmitting common stories”, the way to “protect the memory of the peoples, the dissidents, thinking about what is not part of the hegemonic culture. ”.
The festival proposes a cultural day with an Andean ceremony, a display of instruments, rounds of talks to share knowledge and a fusion show between copla singers and young rag pickers. Among the artists that will be part of the meeting are Copleras Jujeñas, Delia Huerta, Warmi Taki, Dj Energy, El Integro, Pato, Marxs, Lutali, Loko Franco, among others.
The main objective of the day is to keep alive the song of copla with box through its integration with the trap, valuing the community space and collective singing.
“Popular culture makes it possible to unite two musical expressions and generations that come together to sing to the land, to life, to freedom and to the peoples,” they highlighted from the organization.
