Liam Gallagher is always good for a surprise. On Saturday, he told his fans about a fall from a helicopter.
This was certainly not how he had imagined his well-deserved rocker evening: after Liam Gallagher (48, “As You Were”) inspired music fans at the Isle of Wight Festival in Newport, UK, on September 17th, he apparently suffered a painful mishap. In response to a selfie showing him with a damaged face, he wrote: “I fell out of the helicopter last night.”
The ex-Oasis star has so far owed his almost 3.5 million followers a precise explanation. In addition to the snapshot in which he can be seen with a bloody nose, applied ointment and a thick plaster, he simply asked in typical Gallagher fashion: “Who said rock ‘n’ roll was dead?”
Injured face as “cover for the next album”?
In one to which the 48-year-old added the recording of his injuries again, Gallagher quipped: “Already got the cover for the next album.” When a fan asked whether he had filmed video footage of the accident or whether there were recordings from a surveillance camera, the musician answered with “Yes, it will be next [Musik-]Video “. He told another follower that he fell” a hundred thousand feet “into the depths.
