Arnold Schwarzenegger traveled to his old home for a climate conference. In Vienna he also played a little organ.
Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger grabbed the organ keys in St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna. He had done “excellently”, said cathedral priest Toni Faber the ORF radio station Ö3 on Friday.
Playing the organ is one of the 73-year-old’s hobbies. He was with his partner Heather Milligan in the cathedral and had the organ shown by the cathedral organist, the broadcaster reported. «He was briefly instructed what was being played – and he operated the foot pedals and played a few chords. He did an excellent job, »said Faber to the broadcaster.
According to Faber, Schwarzenegger was also so impressed by the funeral service for the former Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda in St. Stephen’s Cathedral in 2019 that “he would like to have it for himself”. “And we still have to talk about a few things and clarify a few things.”
Born in Austria, he had taken US citizenship and was governor of the US state of California from 2003 to 2011 after his sports and Hollywood career. He has been committed to climate protection for years. He also stayed at a climate conference in his old home.
