According to the magazine, the statement said: “It is with great sadness” that Tom Ford announces the death of his beloved husband Richard Buckley: “Richard died peacefully in her home in Los Angeles with Tom and son Jack at his side.”

Ford met Buckley in 1986 at a fashion show. The couple married in 2014. Buckley began his career in 1979 with New York Magazine. He later wrote for “Women’s Wear Daily” and “Vanity Fair”, among others. He also worked for the Italian “Vogue” and was editor-in-chief of “Vogue Hommes International”.
Buckley and Ford last lived in London, New York and Santa Fe, according to People. The couple have son Alexander John Buckley Ford, who was born in 2012.
