Crime: Sexual abuse lawsuit against Prince Andrew

Did he withdraw to his mother’s estate in Scotland so that he could not be reached? The sexual abuse lawsuit has now reached Prince Andrew – through his lawyer.

Queen’s son Prince Andrew (61) has been served on a civil lawsuit for sexual abuse in the United States.

The documents were handed in on Monday (local time) in the office of his lawyer in Los Angeles, said the lawyers of plaintiff Virginia Giuffre. In addition, an email with the documents had already been sent on Friday.

The American accuses the Royal of having abused her several times as a 17-year-old a good 20 years ago and is now demanding compensation. Andrew denies the allegations.

The question of whether the documents were correctly delivered to the prince has so far delayed the start of the process in the USA. According to British media, Andrew is staying in the Scottish residence of his mother Queen Elizabeth II (95) so that he cannot be reached at his registered address. Most recently, however, both the London High Court and the competent judge in New York had ruled in favor of the plaintiff on this issue.

The lawsuit is related to the abuse scandal involving the convicted sex offender and US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison in 2019. Andrew stayed overnight at Epstein’s home on several occasions in the USA and the Caribbean. Epstein and his ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently waiting for her trial in a New York prison, are said to have made dozens of girls and young women into their addiction and sexually abused and fed other men for years.
