While his daughter gave birth to a girl in London and the US authorities are trying in vain to contact him, Prince Andrew is staying with the Queen at Balmoral Castle.
On Monday, positive news reached Royal fans around the world: Princess Beatrice has become a mother for the first time. On Saturday, William and Harry’s cousin gave birth to a girl.
Prince Andrew: Youngest grandchild not seen yet
“Congratulations on your new angel. I can’t wait to meet you and I’m so proud of you. We’ll have so much fun watching our children grow up,” wrote her sister, Princess Eugenie, on Instagram. Sarah Ferguson, the mother of the two princesses, reportedly made her way back to London from Scotland last Friday.
Only one did not budge: The now two-time grandfather Prince Andrew. It’s not that Andrew doesn’t care about his children and grandchildren. Rather, Balmoral Castle has become a hiding place for him. For a few weeks now, the prince has been trying to prevent legal documents from being served to him.
Do not surrender the lawsuit
There have been “multiple attempts,” reported the newspaper “The Sun” recently. The law stipulates that complaints must be served personally. There are various loopholes to avoid this delivery. Not being home is one thing. In August, the American Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit in New York for the sexual abuse of a minor.
At the first telephone hearing in mid-September, Andrew’s lawyers announced that their client had not been properly served on their client under international law. Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s attorneys replied that attempts had been made several times, both by mail and at his home in Windsor. According to new court records, quoted in the Daily Mail, the documents have now also been handed over to Andrew’s lawyer in Los Angeles. Soon the royal should not be able to come up with any more excuses.
