The US musician Alanis Morissette (48) has revealed that her daughter Onyx Solace (6) no longer wants to call her “mom”. “My daughter now calls me by my full name because she’s noticed that nobody uses my full name when we’re in a personal setting,” Morissette said. “Instead of saying ‘Mama’, she says ‘Alanis Morissette,'” the artist explained, laughing out loud.
The 48-year-old has been married to rapper Mario Treadway (42) aka Souleye since 2010. In addition to Onyx Solace, she has sons Winter Mercy (3) and Ever Imre (11) with him. When asked if the kids hear her music, she said, “They hear her even when I say, ‘Turn that off,'” she said, touched. “You are so cute.” She recently dedicated a birthday Instagram post to Onyx Solace: “Happy Birthday to my absolute dream girl daughter Onyx! You’re everything I’ve prayed for multiplied by a million.”
