Arnold Schwarzenegger traveled to Vienna for the Austrian World Summit. A visit to St. Stephen’s Cathedral including the organ was a must.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (73) visited a famous Viennese attraction last Friday. The Hollywood star and native Austrian paid a visit to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. His main interest was the largest musical instrument in Austria.
, Schwarzenegger was allowed to sit down at the cathedral organ, which was inaugurated again in 2020 after several years of renovation. After a lecture by cathedral organist Ernst Wally, Schwarzenegger was able to show his skills and took a seat next to the organist. With a lot of enthusiasm he let the pipes ring, as one of the transmitter shows. Cathedral pastor Toni Faber was, according to Ö3, quite impressed by Schwarzenegger’s game. For a concert in the hallowed halls, however, the film star still has to practice a little, he added.
Desire for a memorial service in the cathedral
In an interview with Faber, the 73-year-old shared a special request. In May 2019 he was a guest at the funeral service of Niki Lauda (1949-2019) in the cathedral. He, too, could imagine being said goodbye to St. Stephen’s Cathedral one day, explained Schwarzenegger. The 73-year-old was accompanied by his partner Heather Milligan (46) on his visit to the cathedral.
Schwarzenegger was in Vienna for a special occasion: On Thursday (July 1st) the “Austrian World Summit” took place for the fifth time. Central environmental issues are discussed there. The initiator of the conference is Schwarzenegger himself. On Thursday he met model Barbara Meier (34) and her husband, the Austrian entrepreneur Klemens Hallmann (born 1976), among others. With his company he is a partner of the “Austrian World Summit”.
