In the Guardians story, Star-Lord (Pratt) reveres the actor kevin bacon and particularly his work on the film footloose. The Guardians decide to meet with Bacon as a way to bring some holiday cheer to Star-Lord, as he is mourning the loss of Gamora (Saldana).

Werewolf by Night released this month with the theme of horror as the axis was the first special presentation of Marvel Studios.
The Christmas special Guardians of the Galaxy arrives on November 25, just a few weeks after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens in theaters. As for the Guardians, they will return to the big screen to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which arrives on May 4, 2023.
