The cultural manager Bogdan Roscic, who was born in Belgrade and grew up in Linz from the age of ten, has been running the Vienna State Opera for two years. In June, his contract was extended early until 2030. On November 7 (from 6.30 p.m.), the 58-year-old will be a guest at the OÖN Castle Talks in cooperation with the state’s Kultur GmbH in the ballroom of the Linz Castle Museum and will answer questions from the head of culture, Peter Grubmüller, in front of an audience. Admission is free.
Bogdan Roscic’s time in Upper Austria, his journey from culture journalist to the years as Ö3 broadcaster boss to the music industry (Universal Music, Decca Music Group in London, Sony Classical) and everyday life as director of the Vienna State Opera – all this will be discussed this evening. What challenges does the boss of one of the largest cultural tankers in the republic face? How does Bogdan Roscic intend to achieve his goal of opening the State Opera further? How does the cultural sector suffer from the consequences of Corona and cost increases? Towards the end of the event, the audience is invited to ask questions.
Monday, November 7th, 6.30 p.m., OÖN Castle Talks with State Opera Director Bogdan Roscic, Linz Castle Museum (banquet hall). Admission free, Registration under: anmeldung@ooelkg.at, Phone: 0732 / 7720-52239.
