Duchess Kate used a trick to keep other women away from Prince William

Kate Middleton and Prince William met at university in the early 2000s and eventually fell in love. Until then, however, today’s Duchess used a trick that kept the women away from the prince.

Prince William attended St. Andrews University in Scotland from 2001 to 2005. The heir to the throne first studied art history, but switched to geography in 2003, which he successfully completed in June 2005 with a Master of Arts. Today’s Duchess also studied art history. The two became friends in their first semester. They are said to have often had breakfast together and, above all, their love of skiing is said to have connected the two strangers.

As a sophomore, Kate Middleton became the number one topic of conversation on campus for walking down a varsity runway in lingerie for a charity. An event that, of course, did not go unnoticed by the young Prince William. Soon after, Prince William and Kate moved into a shared flat outside of the university campus with two other roommates as friends.

Of course, during the first semester, they also attended get-togethers and parties with other people, just like normal students. Since Prince William was always in focus due to his royal origins and young women wanted to conquer him in droves, the two friends made an arrangement, according to the news portal “Express”.

Duchess Kate first became an alibi friend and later a princess

An incident that is said to have happened in the first semester was recently described by Royal expert Katie Nicholl. She spoke to Laura Warshauer, Kate and William’s university friend, who told her: “Prince William got really turned on by these girls at a party and it got pretty awkward because he couldn’t shake them off.” She continued: “He was really polite, but one girl just didn’t take the hint. Suddenly, Kate appeared behind him and put her arms around him. He said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, but I have a girlfriend’, and He and Kate walked off giggling and the prince thanked her.”

Kate is said to have been Prince William’s alibi girlfriend in sticky situations until they became a couple in real life. Living together off campus gave the newly in love couple better privacy than that of the university campus. The romance is said to have started at this point and it carried on through to the royal wedding in 2011 and three children. Kate’s trick of casting the prince as an alibi girlfriend definitely worked.
