US model and actress Emily Ratajkowski is happy despite her ongoing divorce from film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard. “It’s crazy. It’s so beautiful, honestly. I don’t owe anyone anything – except my son, he’s the only man,” said the 31-year-old in an interview on NBC’s “Today Show”. After looking for happiness in relationships for a long time, she is currently only concentrating on herself. “I don’t do any crap,” she explained.
Being in relationships used to help her feel secure. “I think it was a way for me to protect myself. I got into and worked in a really crazy industry that we can now accept that there are a lot of reckless, scary men out there.”
Another factor for her was the search for appreciation. “And that’s not bad,” she continued. “But it’s really nice – I’m 31, with a young kid and this career – just doing my own thing.”
The model and the film producer married in 2018, their son Sylvester was born in 2021. In September, Ratajkowski filed for divorce.
