According to actress Nina Gummich, when to start having children is a question that women over 30 are constantly confronted with. She herself is no exception. Why she is annoyed by this question.
Actress Nina Gummich (“Charité”) is annoyed that women over 30 are constantly being asked when the children will finally start. “As if that were the only thing that should concern a woman of that age or by which she is measured,” said the 31-year-old Gummich of the German Press Agency in Cologne. “It’s also an extremely private matter.”
Gummich embodies the women’s rights activist Alice Schwarzer in the ARD film “Alice”. The two-parter, which will be shown on November 30th from 8:15 p.m. in the first, traces Schwarzer’s path in the 60s and 70s.
She herself is happy to have started life under completely different conditions than her grandmother and mother, said Gummich. She is grateful for “what millions of courageous women have fought for my generation over the past few decades”. Nevertheless, there is still a lot to be done and there is always a tendency to go backwards – this can be seen again with the attrition legislation in the USA.
