To take advantage of this holiday, puebleando.arga space on social networks in which a traveling family shares recommendations for rural excursions, recommends three towns in the interior of the province of Buenos Aires that can be visited in one day:
Ramon Biaus
Ramón Biaus train station (2).jpg
Ramón Biaus is a town in the interior that belongs to the Chivilcoy party in the Province of Buenos Aires. It is located approximately 200 kilometers from CABA and 30 from the main city. Its quiet and picturesque streets invite you to walk, enjoy and photograph them.
In Ramón Biaus you can visit the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores chapel, sports entities such as the Ramón Biaus Social Club and the Banfield Club. You can also visit the school, the old fountains, the train station and the Campo Lo del Turco Restaurant and Warehouse, which is set up in an old general store and houses an extensive collection of antiques, which make it a museum of our customs. Ramón Biaus is a perfect town for the photographic tourism circuit and in Puebleando.arg you can find many images of its beauties.
To get there from Buenos Aires, take the Acceso Oeste Highway to Luján, where it joins National Route 5. At the height of Chivilcoy you have to turn onto Provincial Route 30, continue along Provincial Route 44 and then take the Manuel Belgrano road that leads to the gate of the place.
Villa Lia
Don Alfredo Villa Lía.jpg
Villa Lía is located in the San Antonio de Areco district. It is located approximately 130 kilometers from CABA and 18 from the main city. It is a small town, with 1200 inhabitants and a lot of history.
You have to walk around Villa Lía to find its treasures, colonial architecture, picturesque corners and old fountains on the sidewalks. Walking you will find the San José Chapel, the Villa Lía station, the Caunedo and Pascual stores, the Casa Bella Vista, the José Hernández square and the Los Rostros de La Pampa Museum.
If you want to enjoy a good barbecue in the view of Villa Lía, you should not miss visiting the Don Alfredo Grill, located in the access to the town. In addition to enjoying a country lunch at an unbeatable price, your hosts are the best for advice on the town’s history, since they are descendants of the Caunedo and Pascual families, two institutions at the origins of this town.
From the city of Buenos Aires it is reached by route 8. Two kilometers before access to San Antonio de Areco, take route 41 to the right towards Baradero; from there it is about ten kilometers until you find, on the right hand side, the paved road of 5 km that enters Villa Lía.
Gouin
Gouin Station (2).jpg
Gouin is a town with narrow dirt streets, small and quiet. It belongs to the Carmen de Areco party and is located 139 kilometers from CABA and 10 from the main city. It has a population of less than 150 inhabitants. It is famous because the Fiesta del Pastelito is held there every year, on the first weekend of December.
Like any tourist town, in Gouin you can see numerous period buildings, rural restaurants, the railway station (today converted into a restaurant), the San Agustín Chapel and the Miter Square.
From the city of Buenos Aires to Gouin is reached by West Access to Luján. There you have to connect with route 7 and at km 129 you have to turn left onto a dirt road and continue for 10 kilometers.
To learn more about the different towns of Buenos Aires and find different alternatives to enjoy a long weekend, you have to search the profile of Pueblendo.arg on Instagram. It is an account created by a family that travels through towns and cities in Argentina, showing and making known stories, landscapes, architecture and its people; emphasizing that each town is unique and deserves to be known.
