Prince William’s wife met a woman who fled Ukraine with her child at a community center. Princess Kate praised the woman’s courage and strength.
During a visit to a Ukrainian community center, Princess Kate (40) comforted a refugee woman. “I wish we could do more,” said the wife of the British heir to the throne, Prince William, after the mother of a three-year-old son told her about the escape from Ukraine and burst into tears.
King Charles III’s daughter-in-law. was impressed by the courage of the 39-year-old, whose husband is fighting in Ukraine, and other Ukrainian women. “You guys are showing resilience, I’m blown away by how strong you all are,” Kate said. “You have loved ones and family in Ukraine who are still experiencing the horrors of war every day.”
The Princess was received with the traditional Ukrainian welcome gifts of salt and bread at the facility in the town of Reading, west of London. At the end she drew a picture together with children.
