Hunziker wrote about a picture with her dog Lilly that she had to say goodbye to her faithful companion after eleven years together. “Lilly was my friend. Pure, eternal and unconditional love. My heart is broken because it’s gone now,” said the 44-year-old.
She always had Lilly by her side and at the moment she couldn’t imagine a life without the “little creature” who could “give so much love”. “Now there is an immeasurable emptiness and so much pain that only subsides over time. It’s been eleven wonderful years with you and I will keep you in my heart forever.”
The animal-loving star has two other dogs – Leone and Odin. Over 250,000 Instagram users reacted to Hunziker’s touching farewell words to the poodle lady and give her consolation, including stars like Mandy Capristo (31).
