On Wednesday, Britney Spears won a court victory in the fight against her guardianship. However, she was not present at the hearing.
After 13 years and heated arguments in court, Britney Spears’ (39) father Jamie Spears (69) was suspended as her guardian on Wednesday. At the hearing itself, however, the former pop princess was not present, as was the case. Instead, she went on vacation with her fiancé Sam Asghari (27).
“Britney and Sam are currently out of town and on vacation,” said the loved one, according to the report. The 39-year-old had “wanted to reduce stress” before the day of the hearing, but was “naturally happy” with the result.
Judge replaced Jamie Spears as guardian
Britney Spears has been under her father’s tutelage since 2008. A week ago, Britney’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, asked the court to suspend him and officially appoint a temporary successor. Judge Brenda Penny granted the request and exchanged Jamie Spears for John Zabel. He will take over the post of provisional guardian until the end of the year.
Spears responded to the decision via Instagram. She posted – presumably from her vacation spot – a video in which she sits next to a pilot and controls an airplane. Among other things, she wrote: “On cloud nine at the moment! Flying an airplane for the first time and in a propeller plane for the first time! Oh dear, I was scared!”
