“Walk of Fame”: Daniel Craig receives star honor in Hollywood

Just in time for the start of the 25th James Bond film, Daniel Craig can look forward to another highlight of his career: The Bond actor will be immortalized on the famous Walk of Fame.

Bond actor Daniel Craig (53) is to be immortalized on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame” with a star plaque. This was announced by the operators of the tourist mile in Los Angeles on Friday.

The British star is due to unveil the plaque on Hollywood Boulevard next Wednesday (October 6). The ceremony coincides with the premiere of the 25th James Bond film. “No Time to Die”, in which Craig slips into the role of the famous secret agent 007 for the fifth and final time, opens two days later in US cinemas.

Craig was like Bond a “British cultural icon”, it said in a message from the “Walk of Fame” panel. His star will be let into the sidewalk next to that of Bond actor Roger Moore. The right address: Hollywood Boulevard number 7007. The guest speakers are long-time Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and Oscar winner Rami Malek (“Bohemian Rhapsody”). In “No Time to Die” Malek plays the criminal villain Safin.

After the end of Bond, Craig moves on quickly. He has already agreed to play the role of private detective Benoit Blanc in the sequel to the crime comedy “Knives Out”. In the coming year, the British star wants to return to New York’s Broadway in a “Macbeth” production.
