A24 revealed a poster, below, of what appears to be the star’s character joaquin phoenix from an early age, in pajamas.
There are no plot details at this time, but based on the tweet we can expect that “Beau is Afraid” come next year.
parker posey (“Lost in Space”), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Dune), Denis Menochet (The French Dispatch), hayley squires (In the Earth), michael gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark) and Zoe Lister-Jones (The Craft: Legacy) have joined a cast that also includes Nathan Lane (“Penny Dreadful: City of Angels”), Patti LuPone (“Hollywood”), amy ryan (Only Murders in the Building) and Kylie Rogers (“Yellowstone”).
It’s also worth noting that Aster previously directed a horror comedy short titled “Beau” in 2011. The plot of the short sees a man going through a sinister and disturbing chain of events when he loses his keys while on his way to visit his mother. However, there is no confirmed connection between the short of him and “Beauis” Afraid at this time.
This is Aster’s third film behind “Midsummer” Y “hereditary” all three collaborations with A24.
