During a police operation in Slovakia, officers searched the house of the model and reality TV star Zuzana Strausz-Plackova and confiscated a variety of drugs and weapons.
Influencer Zuzana Plackova, 30, was one of a group of 15 people who were handcuffed to a drug raid that confiscated methamphetamine, weapons and tens of thousands of euros in cash.
Officials stormed her home in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, earlier this week; Despite the breathtaking illegal finds during the search, Plackova and her husband Rene Strausz deny any involvement in illegal activities, as summarized by the UK-based Daily Star, which first reported on the arrests.
“Queen Plackova” mit 816.000 Followern
The influencer, whose Instagram account “Queen Plackova” has 816,000 followers, mainly uses social media to present her luxurious lifestyle of vacation, private jets, designer clothes and handbags. The police announced that they had confiscated more than nine kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as weapons, ammunition, cigarettes and more than 70,000 euros in cash during the raid.
On Instagram, Plackova wrote – in Slovak – after the arrest: “It’s never too late to clean up your life and start with the wrong people and idiots that you don’t need anyway! You can count these real friends on one hand.” However, it must be doubted that this should be seen as an admission of guilt.
Drug trafficking in several regions of Slovakia
The couple is said to be part of a criminal group that authorities believe were involved in the importation and distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine. However, Plackova and her husband have repeatedly denied using or selling drugs.
According to the Slovak authorities, all of the arrested suspects had made money from illegal activities of the group in the Slovak regions of Trnava, Bratislava and Trencin since 2012. The suspects’ arrests were the culmination of a long investigation into which they allegedly incriminated themselves on phone calls that police had wiretapped.
Plackova has been a celebrity in her homeland since her appearance on the Slovak reality TV show “Hotel Paradise” in 2012. When asked about her finances in her last interview before she was arrested, she replied, “The truth is, I save a lot.” She also claimed that her fortune came from her beauty product company called Queen Collagen.
