The two Hollywood stars Jennifer Lawrence (31) and Amy Schumer (40) demonstrated together with thousands of people in the US capital Washington for the right to abortion.
Comedian Schumer (“Dating Queen”) posted a photo on Instagram with the clearly pregnant Oscar winner Lawrence (“Silver Linings”). “I have no uterus and she is pregnant, but we are here,” she wrote with the hashtag of the groups that had called for the rally on Saturday.
In the photo, Schumer is holding a poster that reads «Abortion is indispensable», while Lawrence carries a sign saying that women are only free if they are allowed to determine their own bodies.
Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer have a two-year-old son. A few weeks ago, the actress announced that she had to have her uterus removed because of an abdominal disease. It was also announced in September that Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney are expecting their first child.
