They are no longer a couple: Lothar Matthäus has confirmed the divorce from Anastasia. She was the football idol’s number five wife.
Lothar Matthäus (60) and Anastasia (33) are no longer married: “We are divorced, since the beginning of the year.” He went on to explain: “At some point we realized that our interests had diverged too far.”
There was “no quarrel, no anger, no other partners,” said Matthäus. For the ex-couple, who are “still on friendly terms,” it is “the most important thing” that their seven-year-old son is doing well. The 33-year-old also said on “Bild”: “I can only say that everything went very peacefully.”
Five marriages
For Lothar Matthäus it was the fifth divorce. From 1981 to 1992 he was married to Sylvia, with whom he has two daughters. From 1994 to 1999 his wife was called Lolita Morena, and there was a son from this relationship. This was followed by his marriage to Marijana Kostić from 2003.
