Moved from the beginning to the end of the presentation, at 87 years old, Rinaldi showed the validity of her singing, thanked the loyalty of the public that filled the room and remembered other fundamental figures of tango such as Astor Piazzolla Y Eladia Blazquez.
“Allow me to thank everyone for their presence. It has a very special meaning for me after so much impediment. This is a gift that God gives me to be here with you and at the same time to still feel like singing and worth it” , expressed “Tana” Rinaldi at the beginning of the meeting.
The presentation, prefaced by an instrumental interpretation of “Remembering Discépolo” by the Argentine National Music Orchestra “Juan de Dios Filiberto”, had “la Tana” Rinaldi as the exclusive protagonist, who performed a series of classical works from different authors and times of tango.
Thus, tangos such as “The Heart South” (Eladia Blazquez), “Someone Says to Tango” (Astor Piazzolla – Jorge Luis Borges), “Gale” (Pedro Maffia-José Horacio Staffolani), “Slum melody” (Carlos Gardel-Alfredo Le Pera) and “Speechless” (Mariano Mores-Enrique Santos Discépolo).
After an instrumental intermezzo in which the orchestra played “Vardarito” (Astor Piazzolla), with paul agri Y Damian Bolotin as solo violinists, Rinaldi once again demonstrated the temperament of his singing, through versions of “One” (Mariano Mores-Enrique Santos Discépolo), “You always come back to Buenos Aires” (Eladia Blázquez-Ástor Piazzolla), “The Lost Birds” (Mario Trejo- Ástor Piazzolla) and “green weed” (Sunday Federico-Homero Exposito).
