Charlie Cox gave details of the new Daredevil series on Disney +

Fans of the Netflix original series were particularly attached to the more mature and brutal version of Daredevil, which was applied throughout the universe of Netflix-Marveleven in programs like luke cage Y Jessica Jones.

Cox is aware of those fans’ expectations, but argues that reducing some of that violence and making the character and the show more accessible to a broader audience may not be a bad thing.

“I would tell those people, we have done it. Let’s take the things that really worked, but can we expand on them? he said. “Can we appeal to a slightly younger audience without losing what we’ve learned about what works?”

Born Again will see Cox’s Murdock return as the Man Without Fear in a series of his own, returning alongside the King Pin actor from the original series, Vincent D’Onofrio, but it will not be a continuation of the Netflix show. “The fact that Kevin is talking about it as a season one, instead of a season four, I think that’s a whole new deal,” Cox had told ScreenRant in September.

Daredevil from Netflixit was created by Drew Goddard and featured in its debut season by Steven S. DeKnightwas canceled in late 2018 before the announcement that Marvel Television was shutting down and merging with Marvel Studios.

For years, fans campaigned to bring Murdock back, and the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feigeconfirmed that news in December 2021, along with the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Murdock’s cameo would mark the character’s first big-screen appearance in the MCU. Cox would go on to appear in various episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law of this year .

During the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, Fiege announced that Born Again would receive an 18-episode season with a fall 2024 premiere.
