Britney Spears has lost her father as a guardian, but the singer has not forgotten that her family made guardianship possible for years. On Instagram, she now distributed against family members – and impressively described her life as a prison.
Britney Spears made it clear on Instagram that her relationship with her family is still very negative. The 39-year-old recently won a court victory and had her father Jamie deposed as guardian after 13 years – but the long time under his leadership has apparently left its mark. Spears posted a photo showing two women underwater, including harsh words to their family and friends.
The picture means a lot to her because she sees a woman on it who comes to the aid of her “divine sister”, Spears began her message. “If you have a friend who’s been in a house for four months that feels very cramped, with no car, no phone, no privacy door. And that friend has to work ten hours a day seven days a week, sweats blood every week and doesn’t get a day off, then I strongly advise you to grab this friend and get the hell out of there, “she wrote, apparently describing her own life, which was like a prison. “When you’re like my family, you say things like, ‘Sorry, but you’re under guardianship,'” Spears continued.
Britney Spears received little support from her family
A week ago, a Los Angeles court ruled that it was in Spears’ best interests to suspend her father from guardianship. Prior to this, Britney Spears had reported the details of her guardianship at hearings, which were similar to the descriptions above. Among other things, her father is said to have forced her to use contraception and to have admitted her to a psychiatric clinic against her will. Britney’s mother didn’t advocate her daughter’s concerns until 2019, when fans started the #FreeBritney movement and there was public speculation about the legality of guardianship. Her brother Bryan publicly called the guardianship a “great thing” for his family in July 2020, and Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn commented on social networks in the summer and pledged to support her sister.
Britney Spears herself thanked her new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, once again on Instagram. He has already announced that the next step will be to challenge the guardianship itself. The next hearing is scheduled for November 12th.
