Because he was missing cash in a parking garage, a stranger helped him out of trouble. Dieter Bohlen is enthusiastic: “There are still cool people”.
The music producer and talent scout Dieter Bohlen is, in his own words, very grateful to an unknown patron. “I’m always surprised by little things that blow my mind,” said Bohlen (68) in an RTL interview.
“An example: last week my car was parked in a multi-storey car park for three or four hours, which is relatively expensive in Hamburg. I go there quite often and always use my cell phone to pay at the machine.” On that day, however, this payment mode did not work. “I had 19 euros on the clock and no cash with me. A man stood behind me who watched me and then said: ‘I’ll pay for you, I always wanted to do you a favor anyway.'”
“Wow!” Said Bohlen about it. “The guy didn’t even know me, I’ve never seen him in my life and he didn’t look like he was a millionaire either. When you get such niceties from people who don’t actually have anything and still you’re in a stupid one Helping out the situation – that kind of thing really knocks me out of the sulky. Then you think there are really cool people out there.”
On January 14 at 8:15 p.m., the RTL show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” will enter its final season with Bohlen.
