“Stranger Things” star Noah Schnapp commented on his coming out on the Tiktok platform. The 18-year-old posted a video with text displayed, in which he reports on the unsurprised reactions of those around him. “When I finally told my friends and family that I was gay,” they just said, “We know that.”
For 18 years he fearfully hid in the closet. He is referring to the English idiom for coming out (“to come out of the closet”; in German: to come out of the closet).
Schnapp told Variety in July that his Stranger Things character Will was gay. “I guess I’m more like Will than I thought I was,” he wrote next to his Tiktok video. In the comments, many expressed their support for the actor.
