It is about La Celia Elite Cabernet Franc 2021.
La Celia was the first winery in Argentina to vinify Cabernet Franc as the only variety in 2020 and place its name on the label. Today it celebrates its day with the launch of this new wine, from this strain, originally from France, which was originally used in Argentina as a structural component in red blends and which, over time, gradually became a single varietal per se. , with unique characteristics that stand out.
La Celia Elite Cabernet Franc is an elegant and exclusive wine; Ruby red in color, which at an aromatic level shows refinement and elegance that characterize it. In its complex aromatic richness, notes of fresh herbs, red pepper and flowers predominate. The aging in oak appears in a classic way, with descriptors that mainly recall the spicy ones. On the palate it has a soft entry, with reactive tannins typical of the region and a long and persistent finish.

Cabernet Franc was adapted to the terroir of the winery in Valle de Uco, for more than 20 years La Celia has been producing and marketing it for Argentina and the world, as a unique variety in its Pioneer line and in a blend with Malbec for the line Booking. Likewise, since last year it has also been present in the limited edition high-end game, La Celia Terruño La Consulta Cabernet Franc 2017.

“This date becomes very special for Bodega Andeluna, since we commemorate a variety of international recognition on which we have strengthened our expertise and with which we are identified in Argentina and the world,” he says. Nearing its 20th anniversary, Andeluna is a pioneer winery in having distinguished Cabernet Franc from Gualtallary as a varietal for high-end wines, a variety with a “wild” profile that gives it originality compared to other vines. The Los Franc de Andeluna line is made up of: Andeluna de la Finca, Andeluna del Cuartel, Andeluna de la Parcela and Andeluna Blanc de Franc. “Our Cabernet Franc has typical notes of the variety, which are enhanced by the area where it is grown. In the mountains, and occasionally in Gualtallary, it develops spicy aromatic notes and subtle herbal nuances. Wines are obtained where we can perceive smooth tannins and considerable volume in the mouth”, describes González Bals.
