In their first public appearance after the publication of Prince Harry’s memoirs, Prince William and his wife Kate did not show anything.
In Prince Harry’s memoir “Reserve” (English “Spare”), his own brother Prince William gets his fat off in the first place. The presentation of the heir to the throne is not very flattering on the almost 500 pages. William is cold, choleric and not sensitive enough, that’s the impression after reading it.
Prince William and Princess Kate smile despite Harry headlines
According to British media, the Prince of Wales is said to be furious at his younger brother’s words. But little of that is noticeable at the first official appearance of him and his wife Kate. To open a local hospital, the two traveled to Liverpool, where they were greeted by cheers.
With beaming smiles tacked onto their faces, the two expertly ignored questions about Harry that were posed to them by photographers. Anything else would probably have been a surprise for any Royal expert – “never complain, never explain”, according to the royal motto.
In terms of outfit, William and Kate also proved that they are a team. He appeared in a blue blazer over a green crew-neck sweater, while she wore a navy blue dress paired with a green and blue coat.
Charles doesn’t give a damn either
Also King Charles III. appeared at a public event. In Scotland he visited several charities. He also beamed away the headlines about his younger son. In contrast to Prince William, the monarch comes off comparatively well in Harry’s autobiography. While the Duke of Sussex paints the picture of a somewhat distant father, he insists that Charles always tried to take care of the boys to the best of his ability.

For the king, the lines about his wife Camilla are likely to be the hardest to bear. Prince Harry doesn’t do well with her, even accusing her of influencing the press in order to rebuild her own battered image.
