After the failed relationship with footballer Loris Karius, Sophia Thomalla loves the next young athlete: she made the relationship with tennis player Alexander Zverev official on Instagram.
She makes it official with a smooch photo: Sophia Thomalla shared a snapshot on her Instagram account that shows her hugging and smooching with a man in the sand. The man is tennis pro Alexander Zverev. “I still have an ace up my sleeve for 2021 …” commented Thomalla, confirming that she and the 24-year-old are actually a couple. For days there has been speculation about the relationship status of the two. Zverev did not share the picture, which was presumably taken in Florida, on his Instagram account.
The athlete is currently in Indian Wells, California, where the “BNP Paribas Open” tennis tournament is being played. When Zverev was approached there at a press conference about the rumors of love about Sophia Thomalla, he only replied: “She is very nice” and grinned meaningfully.

Thomalla and Zverev are said to have known each other for several years, but it only sparked a few weeks ago. In fact, the 32-year-old was there live in mid-September when Alexander Zverev competed against handball player Silvio Heinevetter on the TV show “Schlag den Star”. Heinevetter was in a relationship with Sophia’s mother, actress Simone Thomalla, for twelve years. The couple’s split became known in September.
