Lottery winner Chico moves to his Turkish homeland: There he supports the needy financially, but also takes care of his new business projects.
Millions of people in Germany know Kürsat Yildirim, better known as Chico. Since winning ten million euros in the lottery, the man from Dortmund has appeared in newspapers and on television, and he boasted about his expensive new acquisitions on Instagram. Now Chico is also making the rounds in Turkey: instead of visiting his home country, the 41-year-old is visiting and telling his story to various media. He posts numerous videos of his performances on TikTok.
But while many – including FDP leader Christian Lindner – have already commented on how irresponsibly the lottery winner is said to be spending his money, Chico is once again showing his generous side in Turkey. According to a report by “T-Online”, he has donated around 15,000 euros to an orphanage in his hometown of Kirsehir. In Dortmund, too, he supported the Tafel financially, among other things.
Chico visits his Turkish homeland
From Germany he had already given a fan club of the football club Kirsehirspor a cash injection. During his vacation, he also visited his hometown club, which plays in Turkey’s third division. The millionaire would like to sponsor jerseys and scarves for the followers. “It’s nice to be back, I was born here – and I feel good here,” Chico told T-Online. The lottery winner said he wanted to give something back to the people of his eastern Anatolia homeland.

However, holidays are not just about fun and relaxation. After all, since winning millions, Chico has also been a businessman who needs and wants to invest his money wisely. The former crane operator bought a 20-hectare almond tree plantation in the Turkish province of Malayata for this purpose. He also wants to use the visit home to personally inspect his new agricultural project for the first time.
