Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are third and fourth in line to the British throne. Like Prince Harry, they will spend their lives as royal reserves. That worries the prodigal son of the royal family, as he said in an interview.
Next round in the prince dispute: In an interview with “Prince Harry says that he fears his niece Charlotte and his nephew Louis could be harmed by their role as replacement heir to the throne. Just like he did himself. “I do I worry that they will have to go through the same traumatic experiences that I have. Such harmful patterns of behavior must be broken,” said the renegade youngest son of King Charles.
Harry suffered from being a reservist
Harry, who lives in the United States with his wife Meghan, recently roused the royal family in London with a series of revelations and internals. In his autobiography “Reserve” (originally “Spare”) he reports, among other things, that the fact that he was only the “substitute” or the “reserve” for the succession to the throne gave him the feeling all his life to be worth nothing.
As the brother of the King-elect William, Harry was for a time number three for the Crown post. He is now in sixth place. William’s firstborn, Prince George, is planned as the next but one head of state. Behind come his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. “Of the three children, at least one will end up like me: as a ‘reserve’. And the idea hurts and depresses me,” Harry told The Telegraph.
Archie should have it better
“I’ve spoken to William about it once or twice but he has made it very clear to me that his children are not my responsibility. And yet I feel responsible for them.” His own son, on the other hand, should have it better, says the prince. He will not allow Archie to go through “the same traumatic experiences” as he and his brother.
Harry hints that he’s aware of the harrowing impact of his revelations through the book, the Netflix series and numerous interviews. “I hope that one day the family will benefit from my openness.”
