Princess Charlène has been in her native South Africa since March. Health problems have made a return to Monaco impossible so far. Now the 43-year-old has to be operated on again. It is a planned procedure that will take place this Friday under general anesthesia, said her sister-in-law Chantell Wittstock. It should be the last operation for now.
In an interview in August, Prince Albert’s wife announced that she wanted to return to Monaco at the end of October. “I can’t force the cure,” Charlène told dem. The doctors forbade her to fly because she couldn’t compensate for the pressure in her ears.
Charlène had already undergone oral surgery before her trip, and later an infection in the ENT area occurred. She had been operated on in South Africa in August, and a few weeks later she had to be treated again in the clinic after a collapse.

Most recently, Charlène appeared at an official meeting with the Zulu king Misuzulu kaZwelithini. In the pictures that were taken three days ago, the princess looks exhausted and emaciated.
