The former Oasis singer-songwriter will release his fourth studio album with High Flying Birds on June 2 via Sour Mash. “Council Skies” is described as the musician’s “most varied and accomplished solo record to date”.
“It’s back to the beginning. Daydreaming, looking up at the sky and wondering what life could be… that’s as true for me now as it was in the early 90’s.”Gallagher explained about the upcoming album.
“When I grew up in poverty and unemployment, music got me out of it. Top Of The Pops on TV turned your Thursday night into this fantasy world, and that’s what I think music should be. I want my music to elevate and transform in some way.”
