Julia Beautx becomes Julia Willecke: She partially discards her stage name

She is one of the biggest shooting stars of the German acting scene: Julia Beautx (23) convinced in the highly acclaimed ZDF mini-series “Yesterday we were still children” and since 2018 in the ZDF series “Spring” alongside Simone Thomalla ( 57). But Beautx has her largest fan base because of her existence as an influencer: almost 2.5 million users follow her on her main channel on YouTube alone, 3.5 million fans on Instagram and around four million on TikTok. that she no longer wants to appear as Julia Beautx, at least in her acting profession.

“I’m just trying to establish my real name,” says Julia Beautx, whose real name is Julia Willecke. She still identifies with her artist name, but: “When I’m 35, the surname would certainly not be so good.” She chose Beauxt herself at the age of 14 when she “had too much time in physics class”. At the time, she didn’t really think about what that could mean for her future career. She also didn’t want her real name to be known.

She was already interested in acting back then and had already attended workshops at the Schauspielhaus in Bochum, but uploading videos to YouTube was more interesting back then. She “didn’t expect in life that something so blatant would come of it”. Incidentally, her success as an influencer is not the reason for being booked as an actress: “That may have been the starting signal, but no serious leading roles.”

So she was originally only intended for a supporting role for “Yesterday we were still children”, but a convincing casting then gave her the main role. It’s not about acting, but she wants to continue appearing as Julia Beautx. Among other things, on the RTL show “Let’s Dance”. There she takes part in the upcoming 16th season from February 14, 2023.
