Kike Teruel announced his departure from Los Nocheros

Los Nocheros are scheduled in the 2023 edition of the Cosquín National Folklore Festival for Wednesday, January 25. The Atahualpa Yupanqui was an emblematic setting for this formation. There he received the Consecration award in 1994 and experienced his explosion of popularity.

“On Wednesday we are going to sing, we are going to be four (his brother Mario Teruel, Álvaro Martin and Rubén Ehizaguirre) all the commitments we have until April, but this is my last summer season and this is my last Cosquín”, Teurel clarified.

Regarding a possible farewell concert, the singer was enthusiastic: “I would love it. Thanks to Los Nocheros I made my family, I met the mother of my children singing in a club and I also got to know the world. I always knew that my mission was to sing love songs and that mission is more than accomplished, but I feel that now is the time for something else. My mission as a singer is already here”.

In November 2013, he had also announced his departure to take a “sabbatical year” to settle in Spain with his son and crown his temporary farewell with one last show at the Gran Rex Theater on Corrientes Street.

“I always thought about it, but I saw it as unrealizable because I was always absolutely involved in my own business; but I spoke with the boys from Los Nocheros and told them that I needed some time, and they told me ‘take whatever you need,’ he explained at that time.
