After the corona-related cancellation last year, the 74th Cannes International Film Festival opened on Tuesday evening (July 6th). Four world stars surprised at the ceremony with a mixture of Korean, Spanish, English and French. On stage were the 2019 Oscar and Palme d’Or Bong Joon-ho (51, “Parasite”), Cannes veteran Pedro Almodóvar (71, “Sorrow and Glory”), jury president Spike Lee (64 , “BlacKkKlansman”) and the honorary laureate of the evening, Jodie Foster (58, “The Silence of the Lambs”). Among other things, Spike Lee regretted not speaking French as well as Jodie Foster. “I can only express myself in Brooklyn,” he joked.
