The reactions to the first season of “Soko Linz” almost a year ago were sometimes devastating. Nevertheless, the continuation follows: Season two of the ORF/ZDF production starts on February 7th with a double episode on ORF 1. Apparently, the reviews were thought intensively: “What could we improve? What could we do differently? What went wrong ?”, according to actor Daniel Gawlowski, were the questions that occupied the producers. ORF Director General Roland Weißmann was satisfied: “It’s a success in Austria.” But the series is also doing very well in Germany.
For Herbert Schorn, OÖN culture editor, a leap in quality is noticeable. “There are nicer views of Linz, the books are better, the plots are better constructed and the characters seem better integrated,” says Schorn, who has already seen the first two episodes of the new season.
