25 years after Titanic James Cameron admits that Jack could have been saved

Titanic: 25 years later, Cameron spoke about the story

In the first test, Cameron disproves the fan theory that there was simply enough room on the raft for both Jack and Rose to survive. While there is plenty of room for “Jack and Rose to get on the raft, now they are both submerged in dangerous levels of freezing water,” Cameron observed.. The images show most of the stunt duo’s bodies underwater in this setting.

In the second test, cameron repositioned to Jack and Rose on the raft, but arranged their bodies so that their upper halves (which include the vital organs) remained above the water. Their chances of both of them surviving increased in this scenario. “Out of the water, the violent shaking [de su cuerpo] I was helping him,” Cameron said. “Projecting it, I could have made it quite long. Like, hours.

The question mark with this scenario is resistance. The specialists were well rested and were able to hold their upper bodies out of the water for a longer period of time. Could Jack and Rose have done the same? When the characters find themselves on the raft in the film, they have endured hours of grueling chases, possible drownings, fights, and the entire sinking of the Titanic. It’s more than likely that neither character has the fresh stamina of specialists to be able to maintain the body positions needed to survive longer.

For the third and final test, Cameron had the stuntmen do all the strenuous activity that Jack and Rose go through in the film to tire them out. Cameron also added an extra moment not included in the movie: Rose gives Jack his life jacket.

“He’s stabilized,” Cameron said. “He got to a place where, if we projected that, he could have survived until the lifeboat came. Jack could have lived, but there are so many variables. I think his thought process was, ‘I’m not going to do anything to put her in danger,’ and that’s 100 percent in character.”

Jack “could have survived” if Rose had given him her life jacket. But of course, that doesn’t happen in the movie.
