Clara Luzia: Between trust and hope

Thoughts are good if they don’t block. Then too much thinking can cause headaches
cause. Clara Luzia is a thinker. She worries about the future of people and the world in general, but as a musician and songwriter she is not
where thinking ends in making plans that then have to be implemented as precisely as possible.

She allows herself and she lets herself (creatively) run free. What has to happen happens. That has been the credo of their music for 17 years. You can certainly see your new album in the light – or should I say in the shadow – of the pandemic years.
For many people, the isolation was accompanied by a feeling of powerlessness, of not being able to do anything about it, which could ultimately lead to being overwhelmed.

This emotional world is also reflected in the new songs. Even if she acts in the key of melancholy a few times, such as in the wonderfully harmonious “Parliament Square”, the positive mood dominates, which creates songs that have magic in an easy-going way (“The Greatest Gift”) or catch your ear so impudently quickly that you won’t soon forget the melody (“Clouds”). And the final “When The World Ends” also lives on hope.

“Howl At The Moon, Gaze At The Stars!” is an album that builds on trust, because you know where Clara Luzia is on it, Clara Luzia is also included. And that gives hope, not just about the state of the world, but that pop music that matters will always find its way to listeners. Fine! Succeded!
