It all started with candidate Jill Lange. The reality TV participant, who can already be seen in several dating shows, wanted to prove her singing talent on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. “Did you also do something reasonable, i.e. normal? Or did you just graduate and then let yourself be noodled?” Dieter Bohlen asked the candidate. The saying was still visible in the original streaming episode, but it was cut from the TV show after numerous viewer reactions. And he was the stone that really got the argument rolling.

Because Bohlen’s jury colleague Katja Krasavice reacted last Wednesday with a diss track on TikTok. “You’re doing your slutshaming again as usual,” the musician raps in it. “Fucked up without Abitur,” she says about herself and Bohlen’s DSDS protégés: “My ass is more relevant than any of your German superstars.” Why is she on the jury of the casting shows? “I don’t sit on juries for a few 100k, but to defend bitches, that’s it,” said Krasavice. The music clip went viral and has now been viewed almost two million times. And it provoked Bohlen to react.
“I’m not aware of any guilt,” Bohlen defended his sayings in an interview with radio station 104.6. “And my three and a half million followers don’t care at all, so I don’t care either.”
When asked about Krasavice’s diss track, the pop titan said: “I only saw that there was something like that, but I don’t want to spoil my day.” Certain people and things are “on a level outside of my field of perception”. According to Bohlen, he was not in contact with the 26-year-old anyway. “We don’t talk on the phone. I don’t think I was stupid enough to give her my number,” said the 68-year-old.
After the taunt against his younger jury colleague, the music producer tried to smooth the waves in an interview with the German Press Agency. “We have two completely different attitudes. I say: ‘God put diligence before success. Do an apprenticeship, have a plan B.’ She says: ‘Look, I made it without any training.’ You have to accept that, but I hope that not many will take that as a role model,” said Bohlen.

But for Krasavice, things don’t end there. “Dieter Bohlen, you old, white, sexist guy,” she wrote last in her Instagram story. “Not only did you have no respect for many candidates, you also had no respect for me on the jury,” Krasavice continued. “You attacked people who are just like me,” said the musician. And there is no end in sight: Krasavice has announced a TikTok video for this Sunday in which she wants to show “what a liar this old white man is”.
