Regarding the Argentine representatives in Los Angeles, the only one to keep one of these outstanding awards was the pianist Leo Genovesewho was nominated in the Best Improvised Jazz Solo category for his performance in “Endangered Species” with the American saxophonist Wayne Shorter: however, neither of the two artists attended the ceremony.

Pop superstar Beyoncé tied the record for most career wins at the Grammy Awards and was in the running for more, including the prestigious award for best album.

After breaking his tie with Quincy Jones for second place at age 28, he won his 32nd career Grammy, beating out conductor Georg Soltiwho earned his 31st statuette posthumously in 1999.

Beyonce he had followed up his two pre-show wins with primetime nominations for Best R&B Song (“Cuff It”) and Best Dance/Electronic Album (Rebirth). However, she was left out in the top three categories despite being nominated for each one.

“About Damn Time” by lizzo he took Record of the Year, which goes to the artist and producer. The American First Lady Jill Biden presented Song of the Year to Bonnie Raitt for “Just Like That,” a surprise win for her fourth Grammy of the day. Sarama Joy won for Best New Artist.

Beyonce, Raitt and Maverick City Music led the field with four Grammy Awards each (the latest includes three with Kirk Franklin), followed by Brandi Carlile, Styles and Lamar with three each. Lizzo, Ozzy Osbourne and Charm were also multiple winners.

Styles took the first and last primetime awards presented. He also picked up Best Pop Vocal Album for Harry’s House, which had won Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical during the preshow. Kendrick Lamar took home the award for Best Rap Album for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
