On February 3, Johnson had . He posted a photo of a badly damaged car and explained that his mother had been involved in an accident. “Thank you God, she’s fine,” The Rock wrote, adding that she would survive and continue to be investigated.
When he got the call, it was a “scary moment” for him, Johnson continued. “It was 3 a.m. when I got the call. We know that if the phone rings at 3 a.m. and it’s a family member, that’s not good.”

Fortunately, Ata Johnson was in his right mind and got the paramedics on the phone. The actor then explained that they were treating his mother and who he was. The paramedic then replied: “Oh no, I already know that. She told us that she is the mother of ‘The Rock’.”
In his Instagram post, Johnson had already thanked the police and fire department for their help – also on the phone. He also addressed his fans: “I only have one parent left so if you still have your mom and dad then hug them tight because you never know when you’re going to get that 3:00 a.m. call, the we never want to get.” Johnson’s father, professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, passed away in January 2020.
