In a conversation with the “New York Times” in November 2022, she spoke again about the disease. “I will never accept that,” she said at the time. “I’m pissed.” After receiving the diagnosis, filming of the third and final season of Dead to Me, in which Applegate co-stars, took a five-month hiatus from filming.
