It is her third play and her first directorial work: With “blind gang boom, once we were golden”, the South Tyrolean Eleonore Khuen-Belasi (29), who lives in Vienna, traces how we deal with the past in the Linz Theater Phönix (balcony), symbolized in one Duds underground. One day he is found by Lady Die and a mole. Khuen-Belasi: “A dud can explode at any time, the story never ends”, everyone is inevitably a part of it.
As a “poetic form of dealing with history and violence,” her piece invites you on a journey into the (earth) interior, which “is getting hotter and brighter,” says set designer Marie Sturminger. The guests Tamara Semzov and Lukas Weiss, who stands in for Martin Brunnemann who is ill, play alongside ensemble member Lara Sienczak. (cash)
