Because of an illness, the king’s wife Camilla (75) has to cancel two planned visits to central England. King Charles III’s wife was suffering from a “seasonal illness,” a Buckingham Palace spokesman said on Monday. He did not give details. Camilla was due to attend a ballet school in Birmingham this Tuesday and a library in nearby Telford. A new date will hopefully be found soon, said the palace spokesman.
The king’s wife has a busy schedule, most recently she has traveled to Aberdeen in Scotland and Wrexham in Wales. She hopes to be able to meet her obligations again on Wednesday, it said.
The health of the royals is rarely discussed in public. Camilla was infected with the corona virus in early 2022. Like Charles, she has been vaccinated several times and has repeatedly called on the population to be immunized against Corona.
